The Geelong Hospital, Barwon Health, is a 400-bed teaching hospital associated with the University of Melbourne and Deakin University and possessing an Clinical School and Professorial Units in medicine and surgery.
The Haematology Service is housed in a purpose built facility (The Andrew Love Cancer Centre) which also colocates the Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology Services. You will be part of a team of eight medical oncologists and clinical haematologists. The catchment region accounts for 8.6% of the Victorian cancer incidence. There is an active clinical trails team with currently 30 trials in progress. There are two approved medical oncology training positions and we are part of the new Deakin Medical Schools clinical training.

The fractional/sessional allocation for this position will be 0.298 EFT or 10.43 hours per week and the terms and conditions for this appointment are in accordance with the Barwon Health Visiting Medical Specialists’ Certified Agreement.
