Cleaner: 4.00-8.00pm/5.00-9.00pm evening shifts – cleaning services to offices, therapy, consulting rooms, and other areas. IJ1 classification.
Housekeeper: 7.00am-3.30pm/9.30am–1.30pm shifts – cleaning services to occupied and discharge rehabilitation patient/resident rooms and associated areas. GV9 classification.
Waste orderly: 6.30am to 3.00pm Tuesday to Saturday inclusive. Full time 80 hours per fortnight . Waste, soiled linen/laundry, recycling transport and disposal throughout the facility. Current drivers licence required for towmotor and fleet vehicle operation . IJ1 classification.
Porter/courier: : Resident/patient transport; mail, parcel and pharmacy courier; medical gas distribution ; throughout the facility. PS21 classification
. 9.00am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday inclusive - 50 hours per fortnight
. 11.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive - 60 hours per fortnight
Successful applicants will have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and an excellent appreciation of the level of care and safety needed to be exercised within a health care environment. Competency in verbal and written English skills is essential. The ability to prioritise tasks, an appropriate level of physical fitness in order to undertake the specific duties, suitable personal presentation and interpersonal skills, and the capability to work under limited supervision are required qualities. Access to transport and telephone is essential. Applicants are required to indicate their availability, position and shift preferences.

Special Care Nursery at Barwon Health’s Geelong Hospital is a 12-bed level 2+ high dependency neonatal nursery, providing basic ventilatory support and 'bubble' CPAP. Each shift is staffed with 3 Registered Nurses/Registered Midwives and specialist Paediatricians provide 24-hour cover. Barwon Health has approximately 2000 births per annum with 500+ admissions to Special Care Nursery.
