The team provides mental health crisis management, intake assessments of new patients, and case management for approximately 140 patients together with subacute and acute inpatient care. The consultant is supported by a full time registrar (College Trainee).

Barwon Health Mental Health Services has a 32-bed acute inpatient unit and a 6-bed PARC facility. There is also a private psychiatric hospital in the region with ample opportunity for private practice.
